DIY Window Cleaner with Common Household Items

My friend, Nan came by yesterday to help clean our apartment before moving. She introduced me to a wonderful window cleaning solution that I will certainly use from now on.

Window Cleaner:

  • a gallon of hot water
  • 3/4 cup of white vinegar (natural cleaning agent)
  • 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol (aids in drying)
  • Several drops of Dawn dish washing soap (a degreaser )

Use this solution to wipe window. Dry window with a cotton lint free cloth.

The cloths can be found at Walmart in the linen kitchen section. They’re actually called flour sack towels and come in packs of 5. Be sure to wash them separately to avoid lint gathering on them. Don’t use fabric softener when washing. You can dry in dryer without dryer sheets or simply let air dry.
